SILA CROSLEY 

Sila Crosley is the co-director of Dusty Feet Dance Collective and owner and operator of Zumba with Sila, two successfully growing businesses in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.  Sila’s work with Dusty Feet has included roles as choreographer, teacher, dancer, artistic director and business director since 2009.  Sila is currently studying her Certificate III and IV in Fitness to become a group fitness leader and personal trainer, to add on to her Zumba Fitness qualifications.  Sila’s classes in Alice Springs have been at capacity for the past 2 years and in that time she has seen over 12,000 people participating.  Sila has taught Zumba Master classes in Darwin, Alice Springs, Cairns, Sydney and in Tampa Florida, USA.  

 

HAYLEY MICHENER  

Dancing her way through childhood in Newcastle, Hayley Michener completed her RAD Advanced Ballet exam before heading to Lausanne, Switzerland. There she attended a 2-year dance performance course at Ecole-Atelier Rudra-Bejart, performing in Switzerland, Italy and France before heading back to Australia to complete a Science degree. Now based in Alice Springs, Hayley has found her way back to the studio and the stage, regularly teaching for Dusty Feet Dance Collective and Duprada Dance Company and performing in all manner of odd-ball performances including Cat’s Meow Cabarets and Dusty Feet Dance Jams.



 

JAIMIE LEE WATSON

MIRIAM NICHOLLS 

Miriam Nicholls holds a Bachelor of Dance (Hons) from the VCA and a Grad Dip Teaching from CDU. She has trained in contemporary dance, jazz, hiphop, musical theatre and yoga, and worked with companies and choreographers including Cadi McCarthy, Tracks Dance Theatre, Elizabeth Cameron Dalman, the Australian Choreographic Centre and Asanti Dance Theatre (Ghana). Miriam is a well-known performer in local productions by Dusty Feet, the Cat’s Meow Cabaret and Starts With D, and she has had extensive experience teaching dance and drama to people of all ages. As the founder of SPRUNG Youth Dance, Miriam has directed major site-specific productions including Graffiti - Make Your Mark and Living on the Line. A passionate performer, choreographer and teacher, Miriam is committed to developing dance in the heart of Australia, Alice Springs.

 

MELISSA KERL 

Melissa Kerl is an Independent Performer, Choreographer, Dance teacher, Director and Events manager. She is a founding member of DFDC, director of the Cats Meow Cabaret, and a very active member of the Alice Springs Arts community. She has trained at the Bodenweiser Studio, Laban Centre, London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Sydney Dance Company and Spaghetti Circus, and choreographed for Dusty Feet, Wearable Arts, Bledisloe Cup and Sydney Olympic Stadium. She is a regular performer in the Cat’s Meow Cabaret and Dusty Feet, and was performer/co-creator for the OK Sluts’ Unbearable Whiteness of Being for the Adelaide Fringe, Wide Open Space and Ki Warehouse in 2010. A passionate dance teacher, Melissa has taught extensively in schools in NSW and the NT as well as with InCite Arts and Dusty Feet adult classes.


JAIMIE LEE WATSON   

Jaimie is an independent performer from Queensland. While growing up in America, she trained at the Rock School for Dance Education and performed with the Pennsylvania Ballet in performances such as The Nutcracker. After returning to Australia, Jaimie continued to train at Queensland Ballet, Mad Dance House and with the Northern Pride Wildcat Cheerleaders. She is a regular performer in Dusty Feet Dance Collective and looks forward to sharing her love for dance with Alice Springs.
